The Taste of Douglas County, the largest and premier food tasting event in Douglas County, will be held next year on Thursday, August 20, 2009.  Hours of the event are 5-8 PM at the Douglas County Events Center on the grounds of the Douglas County Fair in Castle Rock.  This beautiful in door, air conditioned facility offers the perfect setting for this type of event.  It also offers plenty of free parking.

The Taste will once again offer food samplings from some of the area’s finest food service establishments.  Join the Old Stone Church, Outback Steakhouse, John Holly’s Asian Bistro, Pegasus on the Square, and other area favorites.  Over 40 food service establishments, big and small, casual and fine dining, participate.

Many restaurants also give out coupons to get you to visit their establishments, and attendees can also register for free prizes drawings throughout the evening.

The Taste will also feature the Las Brisas Margarita Cantina, the Tommy Bahama Rum Mojito Bar, and a Concetta Wine booth.

Tickets are $20 at the door, but only $10 in advance.  Tickets include food from the participating establishments.  There are also plenty of free beverages available and included in the ticket price.

Tickets are now on sale at ticket outlets throughout the county, or online at www.tasteofdouglascounty.com.  Ticket outlets will be Pegasus Restaurant, 313 Jerry Street in Castle Rock, LoDo’s Bar & Grill at Quebec and C-470, Enchanted Grounds Coffee and Café, 880 South Colorado Boulevard, Smoke & Bones Barbecue, 810 Memphis Court at I-25 and Exit 184 (Castle Rock Factory Outlets), and the Castle Rock Senior Center.
